So, here’s my dirty little secret: I hate the holidays.

I don’t particularly like anything about Christmas, with the single exception of buying stuff for Jessica and Jaeda. And there are mountains of things that I hate about Christmas-  Christmas radio stations, Christmas decorations, the ridiculous consumerism, family gatherings, “holiday cheer”- just to name my top five. Seriously, I could go all day. Here is an article I wrote about my feelings about Christmas radio for The Daily Cardinal a few weeks ago. The original anger got toned down quite a bit in the editing process.

Anyways, I’m in Michigan right now, and have been for about 36 snowfilled hours. Hopefully I can survive all of this holiday cheer and make it back to Wisconsin alive. Until then, chew on the only “Christmas” music I can stand.
