Random Rules/Spot Inspection/Blatantly Ripping Ideas off of Other People

So, if you read the Onion AV, they do this thing called Random Rules. The interview a indie/pop culture celeb and ask them to explain the next 10-ish songs on their iPod. And if you read PopWatch, they occasionally do the same type of thing. Anyways, Heather started doing it too, and I was commenting on her post, and I liked the first 10 songs so much that I thought I should just turn it into its own blog post.

1.She paints me blue-Something Corporate
Yay old SoCo. The band, not the drink. The drink doesn’t have to be old, it just has to be mixed with Dr. Pepper. The band mixes well with Dr. Pepper, incidentally.

2. Come Back Margaret-Camera Obscura
These guys have some pretty bizarre song titles, like “Lloyd, I’m ready to be heartbroken”. Good stuff, though.

3. Holes to Heaven-Jack Johnson
Jack Johnson is like the musical equivalent of a marijuana high: you just chill out and talk about peace and banana pancakes.

4. Know Your Onion!-The Shins
Love me some Shins. Love me some Onion.

5. I never told you what I do for a living-My Chemical Romance
This was technically during their selling out, but I like to pretend it was pre-sellout.

6. Roll Out-Ludacris
I have a weakness for Luda. Don’t judge me.

7. Transatlanticism- Death Cab for Cutie
I really love this whole album. It is by far my favorite Death Cab album, and maybe even on par with the Postal Service album. Besides, I love 8 minute songs.

8. Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough- Michael Jackson
Yes, I have Michael Jackson. Hell, yes.

9. Strung Out Again-Elliot Smith
One of the best songs from my favorite Elliot album.

10. Yellow Submarine-The Beatles
We all do live in a yellow submarine.
